Pros: Proximity to Times Square and availability of a variety of eateries.
Cons: Extremely tiny rooms & creaky beds. My sister and her husband brought their baby with them and had to take her play pen back to the car because they would have had no space to walk around it if they opened it up in the room. That's how tiny the rooms are.

Pros: Nice staff and location
Cons: Bathroom was freezing cold. You could hear people clearly and cars passing on the street all night. The bed was short. I am only 5'6" and my feet were off. It was a miserable night of sleep. No way is that hotel 4 stars or comparable to it.

Pros: I like staying at the Gem hotel because of the location. My gym and places to eat are walking distance. As well as penn station I can walk to. staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms are very small and King beds are not available.

Pros: Staff lovely. Location fabulous. Rooftop patio nice.
Cons: Room very very small with tiny window facing another building. No offer of king bed or two doubles... only offer double or queen. Felt very cramped for price. Hard to get internet to work and needed to go to lobby to get help from staff.

Pros: the staff was friendly
Cons: the room was extremely small, even for Manhattan. I have stayed at comparable hotels which are much larger
