AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Classification): Oh, how I love this part of New York City! This old favorite is near to the very best. Live like a true New Yorker at least once!
This appealing hotel is in a distinctive turn-of-the-20th-century building accented by carved red stone. Traditional rooms have a spacious upscale style. On site is a charming French-themed eatery. The appealing neighborhood excellently showcases a more residential side of the city with many great local restaurants. Central Park and some popular museums are only a short stroll away. A favorite for many visitors who know the city inside and out. Smoke free premises. 202 units. 13 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Nice hotel, rooms with space, nice bed, coffee machine (no refrigerator) and a fine 'New York' view. The location is very good if you like W uptown Manhattan as we do - 15 minutes’ walk to Lincoln Center (MET opera) so you can walk there and back. Amsterdam Av. fine with lots of restaurant and bars, Broadway for shopping and a quiet neighborhood with tree lined streets and lots of families and children. Central Park 10 min. The bar/restaurant Nice Matin French inspired food (quality/price very good) and a fantastic wine list – good for breakfast, lunch or dinner (close quite early about 10 pm).
