Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast was poor and water was not always available. The residence privileges was not worth the money and there should be an option not to take it.

Pros: The resident's fee seems excessive at first glance, but when you realize it covers breakfast, heavy hors d'oevres, unlimited alcoholic beverages (during the hours of indulgence) and even a dinner entree it's quite reasonable. The staff was *amazing* and went out of their way to take care of us -- from sending up a flatiron to allowing us to check out a little late so we weren't so rushed. I also felt that the staff recognized us and took pains to greet us as we entered and left -- that was a small touch that was much appreciated. The bath is wonderful, and as mentioned in other reviews, the amenities (soaps etc.) are fantastic. We couldn't have been more pleased with the location -- subway stop for NQWR lines is merely feet away, Times square is a ~10 minute walk, yet it was not unbearably bright and noisy. Central Park is ~7 min in the other direction. There are good restaurants --- from high end, like Per Se, to hole-in-the-wall noodle shops -- within a 10 min walk in every direction. The photos show the view in two directions from the Terrace, where you can take breakfast or the Hours of Indulgence.
Cons: The *one* thing that I would change is the ability to more finely control the room temperature. I will gladly admit that we "sleep cold," preferring the temperature to be no more than 70-71F, and I think the age of the systems in the building made that difficult to accomplish. That said, the engineering staff brought us up a fan straightaway when we mentioned that we were warm, so that was amazing.

Pros: I liked the hotel very much which was prepaid. What I didn't like was the socalled resident tax added to the bill when I arrived there. This fee should have been included in the original bill.
Cons: See above

Pros: Clean, comfortable and very lovely
Cons: Unexpected hotel resident fees and resident fee taxes added to what we believed to be our room rates. We ended up paying over $273.00 more, because of these unknown costs.
