Chef George Mendes shows a modern take on dishes rooted in Spanish and Portuguese cuisines. Such entrées as arroz de pato (duck rice) includes crispy duck skin, tender breast, confit, chorizo, olives and orange. The result is complex and satisfying and the flavors are bold and bright. The menu also includes terrines, cured meats and fresh fish preparations including monkfish with cranberry bean-olive stew, caldeirada broth and seared Narragansett squid.
