Classic. The elite “A-list” crowd enjoys this clubby bastion of fine American dining for its excellent menu of classic dishes and refined service. Lunch includes ample salads, grilled fish and steak while dinner may include Dover sole or rack of lamb. Refined but comfortable, the tables are close to each other, so the rooftop area, where cigar smoking is permitted, may be a better place for private conversation.
