A key part of the splendidly vintage Beekman Hotel, this elegant restaurant has a deliciously classic, French brasserie décor and a lush, antique ambience evocative of another time and place. After a flute of champagne in the dining room, it's not too hard to imagine Toulouse-Lautrec holding court at a prime corner table. Tried-and-true French cuisine staples are expertly prepared, as uniformed service staff gamely run with the concept. Expect some great people-watching, and dress up, not down. Nightly specials might include bouillabaisse, moules a la citronelle, soft-shell crabs or Maine lobster. This restaurant is highly recommended.
