AAA Inspector Notes
The name comes from the terms for lobsters that have lost their claws, but nothing is missing at this small raw bar run by a longtime New York City fresh seafood wholesaler. Here you can find a great selection of fresh oysters, clams, crab and lobster rolls as well as creative dishes like octopus carpaccio, miso-glazed hamachi collar or the fish tacos made with achiote marinated grouper, masa tortillas and chipotle crema. Happy hour here tends to get very busy. The owners have a retail fish market right next door to the restaurant, which sits within the bustling Chelsea Market complex filled with interesting shops and food outlets.
