This is simply a terrific spot for a pre- or post-theater supper or just a nicely refined meal out. The chef prepares traditional Italian dishes alongside uniquely European, Roman-Jewish fare. The breaded veal and lamb chops are standouts, as is the beef carpaccio. The braised veal stew is satisfying and memorable and the homemade pastas are highly recommended. Service is very professional and attuned to delivering guest satisfaction. This is hands-down one of the better options in the Theater District neighborhood with an interesting menu that has some familiar but sophisticated Italian dishes as well as traditional European, Roman-Jewish choices as well. The tastefully decorated dining space is intimate, low-key but comfortable.
