The clear forerunner of the trendy 1900 decor of the splendid Beekman Hotel downtown, this bar and eatery led the fin-de-cycle Americana revival.
AAA Inspector Notes
It is bar room dark, but stylish, and where guests can take their pick of seating at a traditional table, a high-table with stools or an upholstered pub-style booth. The menu offers a range of options with some small plates, cheese and charcuterie boards, as well as flatbreads, sandwiches and full entrées with organic chicken, salads, grass-fed Prime beef and local seafood. In the AM, it's a fashionable stop for breakfast with all the tried and true standards, as well as secret recipe pancakes.
