AAA Inspector Notes
Folks wait outside for the doors to open at noon and then file into this simple storefront, brimming with anticipation of the Maine sea-shack fare that has made this place an institution in the West Village. Lobster rolls are the entrée of choice, but frankly, it is hard to go wrong with anything. The mussels are divine, the fried oysters are out of this world, and the clam chowder emits a lush smoky flavor. The blackboard lists specials. Service is super-casual but hospitable.
