Historic. One of the original and most revered of Chinese eateries in the city, renowned for perfecting General Tso’s chicken, there is today a gentle ambience at play, enhanced by subtle lighting and some colorful Chinese art. The period dining rooms are snug but elegant with comfortable seating. The menu of Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese selections fill a traditional menu, with favorites such as sliced duck with fresh ginger, shredded beef with leeks, whole sea bass and Grand Marnier prawns standing out.
