I really like the mood at this very old townhouse that serves a nice seasonal menu. It almost feels like its lit by candles its so atmospheric.
AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Co-owned by New York Rangers hockey star Henrik Lundqvist, this cozy, 200-year-old townhouse exudes bohemian charm and serves up a satisfying brunch and dinner. Eclectic, time-worn interiors mix wildly different antique design décor, but the hodgepodge works well and suits the relaxed service. With artisan soups, salads and sandwiches throughout the day, the kitchen at night turns out a winning Hudson Valley duck and a feta-crusted rack of lamb while a seasonal menu rotates. Lundqvist has been known to hold court and tend at the Bar Upstairs on some nights. When he does, the throng of Swedish tourists who come to pay homage can make the small eatery feel like a treasured spot in Stockholm's Old Town.
