Connetquot River State Park Preserve, entered off SR 27, is a 3,473-acre nature preserve with hiking, equestrian and cross-country skiing trails. Guided nature walks and interpretive tours are conducted Wednesday through Sunday; reservations are required. Fly-fishing is permitted in season (February through October) with a state fishing license. Equestrian permits are available. Guided tours are available.
$8 (per private vehicle). A fee is charged for some permits.
Hours: Wed.-Sun. 8-dusk, Apr.-Sept.; Wed.-Sun. 8-4:30, rest of year.
