Old Westbury Gardens is at 71 Old Westbury Rd. between Long Island Expwy. (I-495) and Jericho Tpke. (SR 25). The 1906 Westbury House is furnished with antique furniture and art, including paintings by Henry Raeburn, Sir Joshua Reynolds, John Singer Sargent and Richard Wilson. The 200-acre grounds feature landscaping and formal gardens patterned after the English “great parks” of the 18th century. The Gardens also plays host to auto shows, concerts, festivals, and other indoor and outdoor events.
Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
