Oneida Community Mansion House is at 170 Kenwood Ave. Building began on this 93,000-square-foot house in 1861, which contains more than 250 rooms that reflect the needs of the utopian community that lived here as one family. Rooms include the Big Hall, featuring a trompe l'oeil ceiling, and the original Oneida Community Library. Tours present permanent and changing exhibitions, family portraits, Empire and Victorian furniture, costumes and historical photographs.
