On the banks of the Peconic River sits this charming rustic eatery set within a country farmhouse that dates back to the late 1800s. The intimate dining areas and hospitable service from a warm waitstaff make you feel as if you're dining in a friend's home. The dinner menu changes seasonally to incorporate fresh local ingredients whenever possible. The fried artichoke hearts with creamy horseradish dipping sauce is a great starter when available. The Stella chicken is also highly recommended with sautéed in garlic, shallots, fresh oregano, mushrooms, balsamic reduction, and cherry tomatoes in a light stock that is then served over asparagus and creamy risotto. For dessert, any one of the house made creations will do though the raspberry almond pastry offers the perfect blend of tart and sweetness. The screened in porch or lawn seating overlooking the river is always in high demand on weekends in the summer, be sure to request a seat with this view early. This is a BYOB establishment.
