AAA Editor Notes

National Museum of Play at The Strong, One Manhattan Sq., is home to what is reputedly upstate New York's only indoor butterfly garden; the Toy Halls of Fame; and perhaps the world's largest public collection of toys, dolls, games and electronic games. Exhibits invite kids to walk through five literary landscapes, step onto Sesame Street, enter a giant kaleidoscope, discover the world of the Berenstain Bears, become a superhero and run a kid-sized supermarket. Other attractions include a 1,700-gallon coral reef aquarium and indoor train and carousel. Food is available.
$15; free (ages 0-1). Butterfly garden additional $5.
