This place is this inspector's personal favorite for the best upscale Mexican dining experience on Long Island. The "tableside guacamole" is a must. Servers roll over a large wooden cot with all of the ingredients to create a perfect guacamole right in front of you. They throw fresh avocados, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers and salt into a special lava rock bowl then beat it with a large wooden spoon to mix all the flavors together. Other delicious menu items include a variety of quesadillas, crispy street tacos and enchiladas. The budin de mariscos is a popular entrée that features a tortilla pie of shrimp and jumbo lump crab layered with a spiced tomato salsa and baked with a poblano cream sauce. The meal ends with complimentary warm churros in a bag and mini Mexican worry dolls that are traditionally placed under your pillow at night so the next day you will be "worry free." The dining space is modern with two-story vaulted ceilings made of traditional tree trunks that are roped together. The exquisite niche wall is filled with candles that bring a sense of romance to the dining room at night.
