Mabee Farm Historic Site is at 1100 Main St. (SR 5S). This 36-acre farmstead preserves one of the oldest houses in the state, dating from 1705. Guided tours include the Dutch Colonial farmhouse, brick house, inn and a 1760s Dutch barn that contain many exhibits. Docked on the Mohawk River are two replica bateaux (flat-bottomed boats). The daily activities of a typical Mohawk Valley family of the period are interpreted. The George E. Francheere Education Center contains an exhibit area.
