Fresh seafood and fish are the focus of the menu with daily blackboard specials of Montauk, N.Y. swordfish, Point Judith, R.I. calamari and Empress Jonah crab claws. Mussels are prepared a number of ways including classic steamed with white wine, garlic, shallots and herb butter. The roasted herb bacon-crusted Chatham cod is served in a large bowl with New England chowder sauce and a few hard-shelled clams on top. For dessert, try the refreshing homemade Key lime pie or an ice cream float. Service is attentive and friendly. For something different, request a table at the stool bar that overlooks the glass enclosed kitchen for an up-close view of the cooks in action. Other tables and booths are surrounded by contemporary, 'New England fish house' inspired decor with specials written in colorful chalk on black boards hanging on exposed brick walls, white wainscoting, and port hole windows.
