National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, 191 Union Ave. at Ludlow St., contains exhibits about the past, present and future of Thoroughbred racing in America. Displays include paintings and sculptures. The Hall of Fame honors horses, jockeys and trainers. Photographs, videos and a skeleton illustrate selective breeding and anatomy. In a simulated racetrack, videos of well-known trainers and jockeys explain training and racing techniques. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$7; $5 (ages 55+ and students with ID); free (ages 0-5).
Hours: Daily 9-5 during racing season, late July-early Sept.; Wed.-Sun. 10-4, Apr. 1-late July and early Sept.-Dec. 31. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
