Traveling as Couple
Our only regret about this hotel is that we were only staying one night. Breakfast was fantastic - the chef came to our table to take our order and cooked it for us. The furnishings are luxurious and you feel pampered.
Pros: Tea available in lobby, sipped in wicker chair on lovely porch.
Cons: Not enough towel bars in bathroom.

Union Gables is a beautiful mansion re-made into a bed and breakfast hotel. The rooms are very Victorian, well decorated and the staff is extremely friendly and service oriented. If you like racing, Union Gables is one block from the race track. It is about 1 mile from the Amtrak Station, you could even walk. Pretty much everything is within walking distance. The town is just great I loved it there.
Pros: I liked the originality of the bed and breakfast and the home cooked to order breakfast every morning.
Cons: Not really
Pros: The property was old and dated. I realize it was a bed and break but it was not elegant and quaint like other bed and breakfasts in the area. Poor value for the money compared to the competition.
Cons: See above, limited food selection and availability. There was no desk/work station in the room. There wasn’t even a bottle of water.
Pros: It is a nice antique hotel. Very nicely located and staffs are friendly.
