This restaurant is a part of city history and the newest owners have done a remarkable job keeping its past alive in the countless photographs and reviews that adorn the walls and, more importantly, in faithful re-creations of some of Hattie's original recipes. Representative of fine down-home cooking are such dishes as Hattie's Southern-fried chicken and Creole jambalaya.
