Seneca Falls Historical Society, 55 Cayuga St., was founded in 1896 and occupies an imposing 1880 Queen Anne-style mansion. It features Victorian period rooms, exhibits of local history and an extensive research library. The society also owns a collection of glass plate negatives relating to the Women's Rights Movement, which many historians consider to have begun in the town.
