Seneca Falls Historical Society, 55 Cayuga St., was founded in 1896 and occupies an imposing 1880 Queen Anne-style mansion. It features Victorian period rooms, exhibits of local history and an extensive research library. The society also owns a collection of glass plate negatives relating to the Women's Rights Movement, which many historians consider to have begun in the town. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$15; $10 (students with ID); free (ages 0-4); $25 (family).
Hours: Tours are given on the hour Mon.-Fri. 9-4, Sat. 10-3, early June-late Aug.; Mon.-Fri. 9-4, rest of year. Closed major holidays.
