Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art is at 338 Lighthouse Ave.; take I-278W to Richmond Rd., then 5 mi. s. to Lighthouse Ave. Designed like a small Tibetan mountain temple, the museum collects, preserves and displays Tibetan, Tibeto-Chinese, Nepalese and Mongolian art objects and paintings. Terraced sculpture gardens, a lotus and fish pond and a view of the Lower Bay provide a serene atmosphere. Lectures, demonstrations and performances are offered on selected weekend afternoons.
