Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art is at 338 Lighthouse Ave.; take I-278W to Richmond Rd., then 5 mi. s. to Lighthouse Ave. Designed like a small Tibetan mountain temple, the museum collects, preserves and displays Tibetan, Tibeto-Chinese, Nepalese and Mongolian art objects and paintings. Terraced sculpture gardens, a lotus and fish pond and a view of the Lower Bay provide a serene atmosphere. Lectures, demonstrations and performances are offered on selected weekend afternoons.

Picnicking is permitted.

$6; $4 (ages 65+ and students with ID); free (ages 0-5).
Wed.-Sun. 1-5, Feb.-Dec.; Sat. 1-4, in Jan. Closed Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving and Dec. 24-25 and 31. Allow 1 hour minimum.
