Staten Island Children's Museum, in the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, contains nine hands-on exhibits about art, science and humanities. Workshops, performances and special events designed for young children are presented throughout the year. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
$8; free (ages 0-1 and to all Wed. 3-5).
Hours: Tues.-Fri. 11-5, Sat.-Sun. 10-5 (also Mon.-Fri. 10-6 when NYC public schools are closed). Closed Jan. 1, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
