Pros: hotel was in the middle of a revamp. But we got two of the old rooms. Carpets were disgusting. Rooms were obviously in need of work. But we were not told this on arrival.
Cons: dirty rooms. Dirty corridors. Unhelpful staff
solo traveller
Pros: The restaurant and the staff the regulars that were great conversation. The accommodations were good other than the construction which is a given. The price was perfect for just needing a upscale place to put your head.
young couple
Pros: Starbucks in the lobby. Nicely furnished room
mature couple
Pros: Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Large room with excellent king size bed. Good breakfast.
Cons: There was a slight damp mildewy smell in the room and the esthetics of the room were very plain, ex. small TV placed too high on the wall with wires protruding.
family with young children
Pros: Booked for a week with my young son. Left after one night!
Cons: Reservation was lost but don't blame hotel as much for booking agency online. Staff was friendly and apologetic but did say happens all the time. Lobby was dark and dreary. I asked for two swipe keys. Went up to room and neither key worked. Left my young son with luggage and went back downstairs to get new keys made of those two only one worked. Room had that old smell and quickly noticed that rugs and overall room was very run down.In the morning ,as we had arrived late the night before, my son commented on the rugs explaining they look like mice tunnels in the snow . Really old and loose . Even luggage rolled unevenly on worn rugs. Headed to breakfast. Not one person ,not a soul in restaurant( 745 am). I waited at podium that said wait to be seated. After a long considerable time I realized the girl serving at Starbucks kiosk must also be the server here and she was busy with a typical 10 minute Starbuck coffee order. I helped myself to a menu and sat down. We were now late for an early morning tryout and simply asked for an apple juice and what type of cereal do you have. The gentlemen who we asked said he didn't know and disappeared into the kitchen. I brought my sons gear out to the car and moved it close to entrance figuring he had finished his meal by now. When I returned he had yet to get cereal or an apple juice . The man had never returned. I asked the next person I could can my son please get some cereal and what type of cereal to you carry and she replied" we only have plain cereal" I actually laughed and asked ok please bring me whatever you have and may I please have a banana and apple to go also. They brought us stale and bottom of the bag Raisin Bran which my son couldn't finish. I asked for the banana and apple to go after considerable time they brought an old green apple and said this is all they had , sorry no banana! I couldn't believe it so I said forget it.
