Excellent hotel, lovely grounds, good amenities.
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable! The grounds were lovely, the gym was ample.
Cons: Walls were thin and we heard people in the next room having "relations" all night!!! We asked to change rooms, but there was no availability. Also, the hotel is built in a confusing way - as if each section was added on as an afterthought, so getting through the labyrinth with lots of bags was difficult. The indoor pool was small, so not great for laps.

Pros: The amenities on site and the beautiful grounds the hotel was built on
Cons: We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs the elevator did not go to all floors

Pros: I loved the lady who checked me in in the evening. She saw me each day and always made a point to converse with me. She was so knowledgeable, polite and genuinely refreshing. Also, the grounds are just gorgeous and so peaceful. I was very pleased.
Cons: I didn't care for the room service experience. On the first night, my waiter seem perturbed that I pointed out a tip ($9 mind you) was already included when it came time to tip on the receipt. And the 2nd day my tray stayed out from breakfast until dinner

Traveling as Couple
Pros: The grounds were lovely, and it was well situated for where we were going during the day. Staff were kind.
Cons: Difficulty with the billing (double billed) though the staff eventually resolved that. The room was directly over some kind of mechanical system which was on 24 hrs a day and very loud. Rooms are nothing special, run of the mill chain hotel look to them.
Traveling as Couple
Pros: The grounds are stunning! This is a retreat location in the middle of three quaint villages, great place to go for a rest and relaxation.
Cons: The room was okay, much like any other hotel room across the country. Shelf bracket in bathroom and sink vanity were most likely made by a handyman on site. Adequate. I suspect that the exhaust fan in the bathroom could be heard in St. Louis, very loud
