American Museum of Natural History's Rose Center for Earth and Space is on 81st St. between Central Park West and Columbus Ave., or enter on Central Park West at 79th St. Exhibits explore Earth's origins, geology, climate, habitats and relationship to the universe.

Visitors will find answers to frequently asked questions about the cosmos in the Hall of the Universe, which features images taken from satellites and through telescopes. Rocks and minerals are displayed in the Hall of Planet Earth.

The 360-foot-long Cosmic Pathway traces 13 billion years of cosmic evolution, equating each human step on the walkway to 75 million years of celestial development. In the Scales of the Universe exhibit, models of man-made and cosmic objects are juxtaposed to show their relative size.

The Hayden Planetarium's space show “Worlds Beyond Earth” features extraordinary images from telescopes and stunning visualizations. The show explores our solar system.

Note: Timed tickets are required and must be purchased online.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
