Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, 310 Genesee St., is a fine arts center with programs in the visual and performing arts and an art museum. The museum's collections include American art from the Colonial period to the present, with an emphasis on 19th- and 20th-century paintings and sculpture. Works by European artists are displayed, as are examples of graphic and decorative arts.
Fountain Elms, an 1850 Victorian house museum, adjoins the center.
