Parrish Art Museum, 279 Montauk Hwy., has changing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art as well as a collection of American art from the 19th century to the present. The museum features works by American Impressionist William Merritt Chase and post-war American realist Fairfield Porter, works by contemporary artists such as Chuck Close, Keith Sonnier, Dan Flavin, Willem de Kooning, Lee Krasner, Roy Lichtenstein and Jackson Pollock. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$10; $8 (ages 65+); free (ages 0-18, students with ID and to all on Wed.).
Hours: Wed.-Mon. 10-5 (also Fri. 5-8 p.m.). Film screenings, concerts or lectures occur Fri. at 6 p.m. and family art workshops are held Sat.-Sun.; phone ahead for schedule. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
