AAA Inspector Notes
This 1926 hotel, just inside the entrance gate to West Point Military Academy, has been fully renovated to preserve its Gothic-style architecture with carved wood and marble. Many of the rooms are dedicated to a particular distinguished graduate of the academy and have photos and memorabilia on the walls. The property has been renovated and the rooms now have comfortable furnishings and modern electronics. Although the windows are not large, some of the rooms have spectacular views of the Hudson River. Even better views can be had from the restaurant or lounges. Smoke free premises. 151 units. 5 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Location and design/history of premises.
Cons: It was a bit chilly and we were surprised that the big fireplace in lobby was not burning..it would have added to the historic atmosphere of hotel and provide a bit of heat!

Pros: This is an old fashioned elegant hotel, in a great location if you are visiting USMA at West Point as it is right at the foot of the academy. Staff also helpful in getting a cheap cab to take us to Eisenhower Hall for a show at the other end of the campus, which is a long walk especially at night.
Cons: It is a little pricey, but a nice change from the usual hotels/motels in the area.
