AAA Editor Notes
The Mockbeggar Plantation Provincial Historic Site, in the center of town on Roper St., is the former home of F. Gordon Bradley, who served in Parliament and in the federal cabinet in the 1950s. Originally built during the 1870s, the house has been restored to its 1940s appearance. Antiques throughout the house portray the traditional Newfoundland and Labrador lifestyle.

Several outbuildings, including a carpenter's shop and fish store/factory, have been restored. Some are from the late 18th century.

Food is available.
