Churchill Falls Underground Generating Station

Churchill Falls Underground Generating Station is on Rte. 500. The site contains the world's second largest underground powerhouse, which resides 305 metres (1,000 ft.) below the ground. Tour guides provide a history of the area, explain the reasons for the dams and dikes and take visitors on a tour of the underground generating station.
