North Atlantic Aviation Museum is at 135 Hwy. 1 near the tourist information center. Newfoundland and Labrador aviation history is showcased. Many displays pertain to World War II, including the Ferry Command Memorial. Visitors can enter a reconstructed DC-3 cockpit and inspect other fighter and bomber aircraft. A Lockheed Hudson Mk II is displayed. More than 2,900 were built, and only eight remain.
