Provincial Seamen's Museum, 54 Marine Dr., explores Newfoundland and Labrador's connections to the land and sea in a permanent exhibition, "Living the Life: Objects of Identity," which contains artifacts dating back to the 1800s. The 1,115-square-metre (12,000-sq.-ft.) building resembles the sails of a schooner and is a memorial to Newfoundlanders who have died at sea; it was originally the Yugoslavian Pavilion for Montréal Expo '67. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
