Conception Bay Museum, on Water St. in the historic district, is in the 1870 Customs House; the first recorded structure on this site was the 1610 pirate fort of Peter Easton. The museum uses artifacts and period rooms to recount local history, including displays about pirates and an aviation early transatlantic flight. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$2; $1 (students with ID, children and ages 66+).
