Memorial University of Newfoundland Botanical Garden, at 306 Mount Scio Rd. in C.A. Pippy Park, encompasses 44 hectares (110 acres) with a semiformal area and a much larger natural area. The cultivated section features rock, cottage, heritage, rhododendron and vegetable gardens.
The natural area includes most of the major natural habitat types of the Canadian boreal forest biome and features a network of trails.
Guided tours are available on request and require a minimum of 10 participants. Visitors must stay on trails and not pick or collect plants and flowers.
Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
