Acorn Hall is at jct. Morris Ave. and Whippany Rd. at 68 Morris Ave. The 1853 Victorian Italianate mansion is decorated and furnished in period and features a research library with information about the Victorian era, a Victorian-style garden and changing exhibits focusing on local history.
Pieces from the Crane-Hone and Schermerhorn families—both of whom lived in the mansion—constitute the majority of the furnishings, which also include contributions from other notable Morris County families. Special events and workshops hosted by the Morris County Historical Society also are offered.
