Princeton University is off US 1 at jct. Washington Rd. and Nassau St. The university enrolls some 7,900 students on its 500-acre campus. The original 1756 building, Nassau Hall, served as a barracks and hospital during the Revolutionary War. Sculptures from the John B. Putnam Jr. Memorial Collection, including works by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson and Pablo Picasso, are displayed on campus.

Visitor information is available at the Frist Campus Center. Points of interest on guided 1-hour campus tours include Nassau Hall and Princeton University Chapel.
