Farmington Public Library

Farmington Public Library is at 2101 Farmington Ave. In addition to its state-of-the-art technological facilities, the building is notable for architectural elements that represent the Four Corners region's Native American cultures. Distinctive features include a counterclockwise layout and a spacious central rotunda designed in part to resemble a kiva, the underground chamber used by Puebloan Indians for spiritual ceremonies. Earth-tone colors reflect the natural environment, and glass wall panels let in lots of natural light.
