Along with spirit specials on tap, a slushy machine at the bar churns out adult drinks. I enjoyed cheerwine and bourbon the night I was there.

This restaurant is housed in a former skating rink, where hand-painted murals still adorn large, concrete block walls and the well-worn wood floor is still shiny. Inside the open kitchen, a James Beard award-winning chef prepares Eastern North Carolina whole-hog, wood-smoked barbecue. The "Smoky Pimento Cheese" appetizer is a nice twist on a local favorite. The dinner menu changes daily, depending on the availability of items from surrounding farms.
