Pros: We rented the cabin, which there was only one.The attached picture shows how misleading the advertisement can be. It was a cute cabin, a long time ago, before it was surrounded by new buildings.
Cons: The cabin was located next to a busy street and right next to a new hotel? who's air-conditioning unit was next to the cabin and was very noisy all night(pictures online did not give that impression). The backdoor to the deck was stuck. The jacuzzi was a whirlpool bathtub and the renovated bathroom was tiny. The water heater began to make an incredibly aweful noise at 1 am. The closet to the water heater was locked (because this had happened before and people turned it off?) and we called management to see if they would shut it off, only to be in formed that they couldn't help us, but to let the water run so the pressure would go away. This worked for about one hour, before I called the manager again. They came and let the water run some more (what a waste!). We had hiked strenuously all day and by 2 am, I was totally overtired and had a migraine from the noise and lack of sleep. Made arrangements to spend our second night somewhere else. Everything in Blowing Rock was booked and we ended up in Beech Mountain. So much for your romantic cabin retreat for our 39th.anniversary. We did not get charged for our stay, which was $200 per night, although we offered to pay half for the cost of cleaning sheets etc.

Pros: Friendly staff. Convenient location.
Cons: Room where we stayed was tucked in a far corner with no ventilation or view. Facility was nice, but we wished we had a better location in it.
