Ackland Art Museum is at 101 S. Columbia St. on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus. Displays include paintings, drawings, sculpture, photographs, prints and artifacts representing a wide range of cultures. Edgar Degas, Eugène Delacroix, Peter Paul Rubens, Max Weber and Emanuel de Witte are among the artists on display. Collections feature classical, Asian, 20th-century, and North Carolina contemporary and folk art. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Hours: Wed.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 1-5. Closed Jan. 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
