Currituck Beach Lighthouse is at 1101 Corolla Village Rd. in Historic Corolla Park. Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse, which has served as a navigational aid since 1875. A small exhibit inside explains the history of the various structures within the light station compound and explores the lives of the keepers. Exhibit panels on the first three landings contain information on the history of lighthouses, its first-order Fresnel lens, the light station and Corolla. The grounds are available for exploration, along with an 1880s house moved from Long Pont Light Station.
