This sidewalk soda fountain opened its doors in 1951 and a yesteryear feeling still permeates the tiny café. It's often packed at lunchtime, as locals flock in for soups, sandwiches, wraps, salads and, of course, the ice cream. After a homemade pimento cheese, tuna salad or burger, a thick, old-fashioned milk shake is a treat. Breakfast is served daily until 2 p.m. and includes favorites like pancakes, French toast, omelets and eggs Benedict.
