AAA Inspector Notes
A stylish industrial theme adorns this modern hotel, located at the doorstep of the Durham Performing Arts Center and just steps from the Bulls' ballpark and American Tobacco Campus. Dozens of downtown restaurants and nightlife spots are a short walk away. Rooms are equipped with current technology and a flair for minimalism. Platform beds feature plump white duvets and ample pillows, and the large windows afford lots of natural light and city views. Most rooms have large, tiled walk-in showers. Bathtubs are found in a handful ADA-compliant rooms only. A grab-and-go market in the lobby offers snacks all day and light fare for breakfast. The lobby lounge, with a billiards table and dual-sided fireplace that opens to the front patio, is the setting for unwinding in the evenings. Smoke free premises. 134 units. 6 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Location
Cons: They never disclosed $10 parking fee. They ran hold for incidentals That was more than room cost. Decor was funky and rooms were spartian boxes. Not traditional and not to my taste. Lobby was a busy public bar with pool table.

Pros: Nearby restaurants
Cons: Walls are paper thin. You could literally hear conversations going on in the lobby and I was in a room on the second floor.

Pros: Location and design
Cons: The room needed extra blankets, or if it had them, I didn't find them easily. Its a great hotel, I just turned the heat way up without the blankets. =)
