AAA Inspector Notes
A stylish industrial theme adorns this modern hotel, located at the doorstep of the Durham Performing Arts Center and just steps from the Bulls' ballpark and American Tobacco Campus. Dozens of downtown restaurants and nightlife spots are a short walk away. Rooms are equipped with current technology and a flair for minimalism. Platform beds feature plump white duvets and ample pillows, and the large windows afford lots of natural light and city views. Most rooms have large, tiled walk-in showers. Bathtubs are found in a handful ADA-compliant rooms only. A grab-and-go market in the lobby offers snacks all day and light fare for breakfast. The lobby lounge, with a billiards table and dual-sided fireplace that opens to the front patio, is the setting for unwinding in the evenings. Smoke free premises. 134 units. 6 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Excellent location. Walking distance to American Tobacco Warehouse, DPAC, downtown, and Durham Bulls.
Cons: They charged my credit card for prepaid room. they charged me for incidentals I didn't have. they charged me for parking. I didn't have a car. They assured me it would be taken care of when I called to bring to attention. Still hasn't been taken care

Pros: Close to medical center and there were several restaurants within walking distance. Although there was not free breakfast, the prices were reasonable.
Cons: We were in a handicapped room and I assume the layout was a little different. We could not figure out how to lower one of the blinds as it did not have a cord. Finally found the switch in the entry hall. Could hear the people above us.

Pros: Location. Near everything and it's wonderful to walk out to a large open area of grass as opposed to the middle of downtown (cement). Suggestions: ice cream at Parlours, loved M Kokko for dinner, cocktails on The Rooftop at Durham Hotel.
