Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education and Bobby N. Setzer State Fish Hatchery is on a forest service road 8 mi. n. of Brevard via US 276, at 1401 Fish Hatchery Rd. The hatchery produces brook, rainbow and brown trout for release in some 60 streams. Visitors strolling along the hatchery raceways can observe and feed the trout. The center's Mountain Wildlife exhibit features aquariums that house fish, amphibians and reptiles. A movie about wildlife conservation and the mountains is shown in the auditorium. A garden and a nature trail offer views of native flora and fauna. Call to register for wildlife programs. Picnicking is permitted.
