Sliding Rock is 8 mi. n. of jct. US 276 and US 64. Sheets of bracingly cold mountain water cascade down this 60-foot-long natural waterslide, plunging daredevils into a 7-foot-deep natural pool. There are wading pools in the vicinity, but no pools for swimming.
Note: During thunderstorms and times of high water run-off, Sliding Rock is closed; phone ahead to verify accessibility. Changing facilities are available in the summer. Picnicking and alcohol are prohibited.
