Port O' Plymouth Roanoke River Museum is n. on Washington St. to 302 E. Water St. Once a railroad depot, the museum houses memorabilia relating to the Civil War Battle of Plymouth. Displays include a 1790 loom and an 1873 coffee grinder. Especially notable is a swivel cannon purchased in Austria by Benjamin Franklin. Guided tours are available.
Self-guiding tour $3.50; $2.50 (ages 12-17); $1.50 (ages 8-11). Guided tour $5; $3 (ages 12-17).
